Supporting Our Global Family

At Salterra, we believe a resort is more than a place to stay—it is a community built on the hands, hearts, and heritage of the people who bring it to life each day. Our associates come from countries near and far, carrying with them the stories, traditions, and families that shape who we are. When moments of hardship touch their lives, we feel it deeply across our entire Salterra family.

In recent months, devastating natural disasters have struck communities in Jamaica and the Philippines—home to many of our associates and their loved ones. Hurricane Melissa and a series of powerful typhoons have caused significant damage, displacing families, disrupting livelihoods, and leaving lasting impacts on regions already vulnerable to extreme weather. While our team members continue to show extraordinary dedication and resilience here on the island, many are quietly navigating the emotional weight of supporting family members back home who are rebuilding their lives.

In response, Salterra has introduced a simple, optional way for guests to stand with us in offering support. At checkout, a $5 per-room discretionary contribution will appear on guest folios. This donation is entirely optional, and guests may remove it at any time. Every dollar collected will go directly toward relief efforts for the families of associates affected by these recent disasters, helping them recover, rebuild, and regain a sense of stability in the months ahead.

This initiative reflects the deep belief that hospitality extends beyond our walls. It is rooted in gratitude—for the people who welcome our guests each day with warmth, care, and an unmistakable spirit of place. And it is grounded in the understanding that when we gather as a community, even small gestures can have lasting impact.

We are profoundly grateful for the generosity and compassion of our guests, who so often ask how they can meaningfully support the island community that welcomes them. While Turks and Caicos remains the home of Salterra, we honor the broader tapestry of cultures and backgrounds that shape our team. This initiative is one small way to extend care beyond our shores—to lend comfort in moments of uncertainty, and to remind our associates and their families that they do not face these challenges alone.

With heartfelt thanks from all of us at Salterra.
