Summer 2026
Where young travelers become marine biologists, divers, and stargazers.
Salterra sits apart from the well-trodden cays — a boutique resort along an untouched beach, where summer brings warm water, long evenings, and a stillness the high season never allows. For four weeks this July and August, we offer families fully curated stays: days shaped by marine biologists, astronomers, and island storytellers, evenings entirely your own. The children aren't just entertained, they leave enriched; the parents leave restored. This is discovery with nothing left to plan.

The four weeks
A Summer to Remember
"They become Ocean Explorers. You rediscover vacation."
A summer your child carries home — new skills, a real credential, and the confidence that comes from spending five days alongside working scientists. Only a few families join each week, by design.
Ocean Explorers Week
"This summer, your kids won't just visit the ocean. They'll learn how it works."
Children become junior marine biologists of South Caicos — working alongside the scientists of our Coral Reef Consortium in a living coral lab, on protected reefs, and across the salt ponds and flamingo flats. Each age has its own real adventure: the littlest in the tide pools, the curious in the field, and teenagers under the water — with our diving Voyagers progressing through a PADI Discover Scuba® experience. The week earns each child an Ocean Explorer Passport and ends in a true graduation.
- What your child takes home
- A completed Ocean Explorer Passport, stamped across five days of real fieldwork
- Snorkelling and field-science skills learned beside working marine scientists
- For diving Voyagers, a PADI Discover Scuba® progression and certification referral
- The confidence of having contributed to live reef conservation — and a story to tell
- Three age-true tracks
-
Little Explorers Under 6Gentle shore and tide-pool discovery, crafts, and the Ocean Explorer Passport — hosted by our Kids' Club team.
-
Explorers & Non-Diving Voyagers Ages 6–11 & 12–19Full guided snorkel and field science, passport, and graduation.
-
Voyagers Ages 12–19Everything in Explorers plus the PADI Discover Scuba® progression and certification referral.
The moment: a Junior Marine Biologist graduation — cap, certificate, and a conservation donation in your child's name.

A week that gives back
Your child's week funds real coral science
Five percent of each family's enrollment goes directly to the School for Field Studies Center for Marine Resource Studies — funding the reef-restoration work and research partnerships your children take part in during the week.
Salterra co-founded the South Caicos Coral Reef Consortium in 2023, committing over $350,000 in direct grants alongside the Reef Institute and the Turks & Caicos Reef Fund. The week your family joins is part of that ongoing work — not a tour of it.
While they discover, you unwind.
Every hour your children spend with our scientists, fishermen and astronomers is an hour that belongs entirely to you. The cohort programming is hosted and supervised — which means the spa, the quiet lunch, the empty stretch of beach, and the long evening are yours. A family week that restores the parents, not only delights the children.
How a cohort works
A handful of families. A few short days. Then it's gone.
Choose your week
Each week welcomes only a small cohort of families, on named dates. Choose the season your family will remember.
Claim your place
Reserve before the cohort fills. Your stay is booked on our Celebrate Summer enhancement, so the value arrives with the week.
Arrive & discover
Five days of hosted programming, age-appropriate tracks for every child, and one culminating moment your family takes home for good.
The Blue Sky Promise
Book the season with complete confidence
Should the unexpected arrive, we will move your stay to another date within the season, with our compliments. Flexible dates on every week, should the weather ever ask it. Plan freely — the weather is our concern, not yours.

The island is quiet, the cohorts are small, and the summer is already filling. We would be glad to hold a place for your family.
Terms & Conditions
Family programming is offered in limited, dated cohorts and is subject to availability; enrollment closes when each cohort is full. All programming is a shared group experience hosted alongside other families in the cohort and is not a private excursion unless explicitly arranged. The Ocean Explorers program is a separate, paid enrollment priced per child and is fully commissionable; it layers on top of, and does not alter, published room rates. The Celebrate Summer enhancement applies to qualifying stays for travel between 1 June and 31 October 2026 and varies by room category. Daily resort credit is applied to the guest folio, holds no cash value, is extended per night of stay, and is redeemable on property during the stay. Resort-credit totals shown are illustrative of a seven-night stay and vary with length of stay and room category. Complimentary breakfast and other inclusions are subject to availability and category. Family breakfast and family inclusions apply to children under twelve sharing with an adult. A donation equal to five percent of enrollment cost is directed to the School for Field Studies Center for Marine Resource Studies in support of the South Caicos Coral Reef Consortium; amounts may vary with program and partner availability. Itineraries are representative and may vary with weather, marine conditions, and partner availability. The Blue Sky Promise applies to a named-storm warning issued for the Turks & Caicos Islands during the travel dates and is subject to availability within the season. Five-night minimum stay may apply. Rates are per room, per night; taxes are additional. Not valid for groups of 10 or more rooms. Cannot be combined with other promotions or offers. Blackout dates may apply. Advance reservations required. Other restrictions apply. Salterra, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa is a participating property of Marriott Bonvoy®.
